Hotel Lucia Provenance

Portland, OR

Welcome to Hotel Lucia, where history meets modern charm. This historic building was built in 1909 and has been a gathering place for over a century. It started as the Imperial Hotel, hosting cattle ranchers from eastern Oregon. In 1950, hotelier Albert Gentner took the reins and welcomed guests for 50 years. In 2001, Provenance Hotels stepped in, transforming the New Imperial Hotel into Hotel Lucia. They adorned it with the world's largest collection of black-and-white photos by Oregonian Pulitzer Prize winner David Hume Kennerly. This unique blend of history and art earned Hotel Lucia a spot on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003. Experience Portland's rich past and creative present at Hotel Lucia.
